Tourism statistics is based under the general internationally recognized definition of tourism used by World Tourism Organisation (WTO). According to this definition a tourist is a person, that:
- Moves in time and space outside his/her usual environment
- Does not earn wages from the place he/she visits
- Stays overnight in the country concerned
- Does not reside in the country concerned more than a year
This statistics is divided into two groups, Airline Passenger Statistics and Hotel Overnight Accommodation Statistics.
