Short term trends
The short term trends contain several indicators by which to analyse the activity in the Greenlandic economy. The intention with the statistics is to give a short term picture of the development of the economy, by assessing the quarterly development, compared to the changes in the previous periods. A few examples of the average quarterly changes for the recent two years are given below: - Volume of goods is a good indicator relatively to the quantities of import and export. - The current income tax is a good indicator for the activity in the labour market. - Loans from and deposit in banks shows the changes in savings and loans of private and corporations, which is a good indicator for changes in consumption and investments.
