Elections to Settlement Councils

Elections to settlement councils were held on 28 April 2009. In connection with the municipal reform, a number of settlement councils were merged.

 

When elections were held in 2005, there were 56 settlement councils with 180 members. Following elections in April 2009, there were 26 settlement councils with 106 members.

 

Elections to Folketinget

Greenland elects two members to the Danish Folketing. The most recent election to the parliament was held on 13 November 2007. On that occasion, Juliane Henningsen (IA) and Lars Emil Johansen (Siumut) were elected.
