Statistics Greenland offers Statistical Yearbook in English. The Statistical Yearbook has lots of useful statistics and information about the Greenlandic society. The Statistical Yearbook 2010 and 2011 are not printed and can therefore only be found on this website. We also aim to translate all content of our free databank - the StatBank - and update tables in parallel

Overnight stays in 2nd quarter of 2017
There is an increase of 6.7 pct. in number of nights compared with the same period in 2016. It is primarily guests of Greenlandic nationality who have stayed at hotels in Q2. There is a significantly higher proportion of overnight stays by foreign guests in Ilulissat than in the other regions, in the Q2 of 2017.

On July 1st 2017, there where 56.171 inhabitants living in Greenland. That is 311 more than on January 1st , this year, and 15 fewer than on July 1st 2016.

The total population count is over the next decades projected to decline from todays 55,860 persons to 52-53.000 in 2040.
