Statistics Greenland offers Statistical Yearbook in English. The Statistical Yearbook has lots of useful statistics and information about the Greenlandic society. The Statistical Yearbook 2010 and 2011 are not printed and can therefore only be found on this website. We also aim to translate all content of our free databank - the StatBank - and update tables in parallel

Overnight guests in 3rd quarter of 2017
There is an increase of 12.96 pct. in the number of guests compared to the same period in 2016. It is primarily international guests who have stayed at hotels on third quarter which summed up to 25,008 while Greenlandic guests were 18,810. International guests in Ilulissat represented a significantly higher proportion than in the other regions.

2018 Municipalities in Greenland

18 October 2017
Population in the new municipalities
Greenlands 2nd most populous municipality Qaasuitsup Kommunia will be divided as of January 1st 2018 into 2 municipalities respectively Kommune Qeqertalik and Avannaata Kommunia. Avannaata Kommunia will then be Greenlands 2nd most populous municipality, while the Kommune Qeqertalik will be the smallest.
